Part-Time Therapist - Home Based Counseling

Providing Home Based therapy services to families involved with the Department of Child Services and/or the Juvenile Probation Department in Region 10, Marion County.
Essential Duties:
* Provide therapeutic service for at risk families * Conduct an assessment on each family * Develop goals with each family * Document visits with families by keeping progress notes * Write monthly reports to document each family’s progress * Create a discharge summary for each client * Work cooperatively with other social welfare agencies to meet client needs * Provide therapy to clients in a home based setting * Provide transportation for families as needed (therapist must have a valid driver's license and an insured automobile) * Attend court with client as necessary * Work with the school system and various institutions related to the family * Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor * Be available for crisis counseling outside of normal work day/week * Attend individual supervision and team meetings * It is understood that each employee follows and adheres to the professional standards as outlined by your perspective professional degree or license
Qualifications / Skills:
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy with a current license issued by the Indiana Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health Counselor Board as one of the following: 1) Clinical Social Work; 2) Marriage and Family therapist; or 3) Mental Health Counselor Knowledge and Skills of: * Family of origin/intergenerational issues * Child abuse and neglect * Child and adult development * Community resources * Ability to work as a team member * Belief in helping clients change their circumstances * Belief in family preservation philosophy * Experience/ability to respond appropriately to cultural difference in the community, staff, and clients * Ability to utilize and communicate by e-mail * Knowledge and ability to utilize various therapeutic theories and techniques

Community Liaison

Purpose / Scope:
The Community Partners for Child Safety Program is a free and voluntary program for families with minor children. The Community Partners program is a home based program that offers case management services by a Liaison who will assist families in developing and meeting specific family centered goals. The liaison will help families discover and connect with local community supports and services, can provide crisis assistance as needed, be an advocate and support for the family. Families can self refer, referrals can be made by anyone who is wanting to help the family with meeting a need; schools, churches, community agencies and other service providers. Due to the nature of CPCS, job responsibilities are subject to change. Employees must be able to adapt to new procedures as introduced and be flexible with their schedule to meet the needs of their families.
Essential Duties:
* Provide Home based services and resource connection to at-risk families residing in the targeted Community/County. * Develop and maintain familiarity with community resources. * Develop and maintain relationships with social workers and agencies serving families. * Complete required documentation in timely manner. * Provide transportation to families as needed. * Work with the school system and various institutions related to the family. * Attend required meetings, including Children’s Bureau in-services. * Be available for intervention outside of normal work day/week. * Assist families in making and obtain goals. * Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor. * It is understood that each employee follows and adheres to the professional standards as outlined by your perspective professional degree or license. Case Manager-Any Child Program - Part-time

This is a part-time position providing Homebased education and support to families in Madison County and surrounding counties. Referrals are self referrals, Community referralsn and some are involved with Department of Child Services.
Essential Duties:
* Provide education and support to families that have been referred to the program
* Maintain all case and agency paperwork in accordance with the agency stardards
* Provide written reports to Madison County Department of Child Services/Probation Office
* Work cooperatively with other social welfare agencies to meet client’s needs
* Make proper referrals to community agencies based on needs demonstrated by the family
* Completed all billing documentation and information or reports
* Provide transportation to families as needed
* Attend court with clients and render recommendations to the courts

* Attend all requied meetings, including inservice dealing with cultural competency

Childcare Voucher Specialist (Bi-lingual Preferred) – New Whiteland Office

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE NEW WHITELAND OFFICE (Family ACTion Center)

The Childcare Voucher Specialist is a specialized Customer Service Representative responsible for assisting community residents in obtaining childcare for employment related activities. The Childcare Voucher Specialist accomplishes this by meeting individually with customers applying for childcare assistance and collects necessary customer information for determining their eligibility. The Childcare Voucher Specialist also processes recertification by mail packets for customers already on the CCDF Program.
Essential Duties:
1. Greeting all customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
2. Interviewing childcare applicants in order to collect necessary information for assistance.
3. Providing applicant with an orientation to the program including rights, responsibilities and obligations.
4. Completing intakes for Childcare Voucher Program, obtain required documentation and calculate relevant financial data, including parents’ co-pay and subsidy levels.
5. Preparing, scheduling, and mailing recertification packets.
6. Obtaining and maintaining accurate and orderly records on parents receiving voucher.
7. Assisting eligible applicant in selecting an appropriate provider if requested.
8. Assisting in maintaining the waiting list if applicable.
9. Preparing, scheduling, and mailing recertification reminder letters.
10. Identifying children with special needs and ensuring appropriate assistance is provided or obtained.
11. Monitoring progress of parents in the job search process.
12. Working with other site locations in an integrated support team to effectively identify and connect client
with appropriate resources.
13. Returning phone calls from parents and child care providers.
14. Any other duties deemed necessary by the Supervisor
Qualifications / Skills:
• High School diploma or GED required
• Experience (paid, volunteer and/or internships) in greeting and interviewing customers in a service setting.
• Experience in working with a diverse population.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and colleagues in other
human service/professional agencies.
• Punctual, dependable and patient.
• Flexible and possess ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance and must be willing to travel to above counties.

CPCS Director

Purpose / Scope:
The Program Director for Community Partners for Child Safety will be located in Avon and serve Boone, Hendricks, Montgomery, Morgan and Putnam counties which make up Region 9. The Director works with formal and informal leaders to build the community capacity for nurturing families. Primarily, this person will concentrate on the identification, recruitment, training, supervision and support of a Community Liaisons (Case Managers), a Parent Partner and facilitate an Advisory Committee in the 5 county region. This position will also supervise our Father Engagement program which works with fathers of children in the Department of Child Services. This position requires travel within the region providing supervision of staff and services to clients and coordinating resources within each community. This position also develops and maintains relationships with local county agencies and resources and carries an active caseload serving clients.
Essential Duties:
1. Supervise staff with proper documentation to ensure that policy and procedures of Children’s Bureau are being carried out. 2. Managing and developing a yearly program budget to include monthly review of financial statements. 3. Attend minimum of 20 hours annually of in-service/workshops to include one topic on diversity. 4. Make sure all monthly reports are completed on time and submitted for review. 5. Facilitate a program Advisory Committee. 6. Respond to crisis situations and assist community liaison staff. 7. Complete staff payroll and forward to financial department on time. 8. Recruit and supervise Parent Partners. 9. Assist with intake and discharge of clients. 10. Be available by phone and/or respond to crisis situations with clients and staff. 11. Maintain statistical data as required for contracts or grants. 12. Maintain client files and ensure all necessary documentation is present. 13. Carry an active caseload of clients providing assessment and case coordination. 14. Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications / Skills:
* MSW and/or Master’s degree preferred or related degree in a human service field. * Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and car. * 2 years experience in management or supervisory capacity in child welfare or related field preferred. * Knowledge of community resources services and programs. * Knowledge in the areas of abuse/neglect * Knowledge of how stress can impact people and their lives * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Experience in working with a team. * Experience/ability to respond appropriately to cultural difference in the community, staff and clients. * CEO/Executive Vice Presidents/Vice Presidents/Program Directors must be able to develop grant and annual program/departmental budgets as well as be accountable for it throughout the year. * Experience in writing and reviewing case plans and setting client goals.

Youth Care Specialists - Full & Part Time, All shifts

Children's Bureau is seeking motivated employees to work as a Youth Care Specialist at the secure residential program. This is a 24hr/7day/wk program and we offer positions for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts which include a rotation of every other weekend and a day off during the week.
Essential Duties:
The Youth Care Specialist is responsible for direct supervision of residents, facilitating group activities and coordinating outings. Other responsibilities include: completing required documentation, implementation of treatment plans, responding to crisis situations and following daily schedules and activities, including transportation as needed. Therapeutic interaction and responsiveness to resident and program needs are high priority. The position involves working with emotionally challenged adolescents in a secure residential setting.
Qualifications / Skills:
21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education is a plus.
Experience in working with adolescents in a residential setting.
Excellent written and organizational skills required.
Knowledge of medication procedures would be helpful.
Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
