Transition to Independent Living
"Transition to Independent Living" includes several counseling and group home programs. The transition to living independently can be difficult for any young adult, but it can be even more challenging for those who have not grown up in a nurturing environment.
In addition to counseling services, Children's Bureau also offers group home facilities that feature a family-like setting for young males (Evans House).
These programs teach the life skills that these young adults will need to survive, once they are living on their own.
