The
Program
LEAP, which stands for Leadership, Empowerment,
Achievement, and Progress, is an intensive, home-based
counseling program designed to assist youth and
their families with the transition of the youth
back into their homes and communities from juvenile
correctional facilities. LEAP is a partnership with
the Marion County Juvenile Community Transition
Program.
The Focus
Reunification and Reintegration
We work with the youth and their parents/guardians
and other agencies to assist the client in the returning
to the family unit and the community in which they
reside.
The Services
For a period of three to six months we provide a
strong, individualized support system developed
for each youth and his/her family. This is through
casemanagement, referrals, and approximately two
hours a week of face to face contact with the client
and his/her family. |

Our
Relationships
Children's
Bureau currently has a contract with Marion County and
the Indiana Department of Corrections to provide aftercare
services to youth and their families. Intake and casemanagement
will be a collaborative effort between the youth, parents
or guardians, the Indiana Department of Corrections representative,
and the LEAP counselor.
