Young Musician Performs for Shelter Youth

by Joy Coordinator

Up-and-coming young musician Ashton Dean Gleckman of Carmel, Ind., played a volunteer performance for 19 kids in the Children’s Bureau Shelter Saturday, Feb. 7.

The talented 14-year-old began playing his first instrument — a guitar — at age 6. He plays in a local band of young teens called Rising Gravity Experience.

Gleckman brought instruments for the children to join in the music and ended with a dance session. He brought a free CD and t-shirt for each child.

Gleckman performed the following set list:

  • Souled Out/Everybody Dance Now – TOP
  • Locked Out of Heaven – Bruno Mars
  • Home – Phillip Phillips
  • No Such Thing – John Mayer
  • Counting Stars – One Republic
  • Rosanna – Toto
  • Radioactive – Imagine Dragons
  • Stairway – Led Zeppelin
  • Hallelujah – Leonard Cohen
  • Neon – John Mayer
  • Superstition – Stevie Wonder
