Indianapolis, IN-Children’s Bureau, Inc. and Promising Futures, two nonprofits dedicated to serving youth and families in Indiana, announced today that their boards have voted to fuse the two organizations, under the management of Children’s Bureau.

“Creative collaborations are proving more effective for nonprofits. Together, Promising Futures and Children’s Bureau will deliver a more comprehensive and coordinated range of services in Central Indiana,” said Michael Newbold, Board President, Children’s Bureau.

The combined entity will be managed by Tina Cloer, Children’s Bureau’s President and CEO. Stephanie Lyons, Executive Director of Promising Futures, will assist during the transition. “The services offered by each agency complement one another. Joining forces will increase efficiency and strengthen the services available to the Promising Future’s community. We are very excited about the possibilities,” said Tina Cloer.

United Way funds programs and services of both Children’s Bureau and Promising Futures. Ann Murtlow, President and CEO of United Way of Central Indiana said, “UWCI commends the decision of the Children’s Bureau and Promising Futures to combine in a way that ensure important programs will continue to serve Hamilton County in an ever more efficient and sustainable model.”

“The new alignment is primarily an organizational change; not one that will be recognized by clients and constituents of Hamilton County. Promising Futures has served central Indiana for 40 years and will continue to deliver services in Noblesville,” said Kim Bradley, Board President, Promising Futures.
