Give joy to Indiana familes in need this holiday season

by Joy Coordinator

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) and Children’s Bureau, Inc. have partnered to bring holiday joy to Indiana families facing financial hardship. You can give these families the wonderful gift of Duke Energy Yuletide Celebration for the special price of only $10 per ticket. Companies and individuals alike can participate in this effort and help local families in need establish a tradition sure to bring cheer to their household during this and future holiday seasons. Imagine the joy these children and families will experience by attending Indiana’s most cherished holiday tradition.

The partnership between the ISO and Children’s Bureau is new this year and is the latest enhancement to the Hope for the Holidays program conducted annually by Children’s Bureau for their clients. “The Children’s Bureau provides so much goodwill to families in need during the holidays,” said Simon Crookall, President and CEO of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. “The orchestra is delighted to contribute to this giving spirit by making the magic of Yuletide Celebration accessible to as many people as possible during this holiday season. Please support this wonderful initiative by giving the gift of Yuletide to children across Indiana.”

In 2008, the Hope for the Holidays program supported more than 1,700 individuals from 450 families, providing them various everyday necessities, toy items and gift cards during the holiday season. Families receiving the Duke Energy Yuletide Celebration tickets will have multiple performances to select from throughout the month of December. However, the Hope for the Holidays program runs from October 28 – December 10, 2009, so all contributions will need to be made throughout these dates to qualify.
