One of our prized volunteers, Rick Francis, put in lot of work this week to create two great raised garden beds for our Children’s Shelter.
This summer, youth staying at our shelter will have the chance to plant, water, weed, watch grow and harvest some of their very own produce for meals. The group planted tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, onions, beans, herbs and lots more on Wednesday. Yet to come is a pumpkin patch for the kiddos to visit and make jack o lanterns in the fall! Thanks, Rick!
