Children’s Bureau, Inc. was recently in the news! Thanks to Weekends Only (a furniture store located on the south side of Indianapolis) and their generous donation, Children’s Bureau will continue to grow and help in the community. Read the partial article below.
Weekends Only selected CBI, an organization that provides human resources to children and families, as its charity partner for their recent Grand Opening in Greenwood, IN. Lane Hamm, President, and Jeanette Cleveland, General Manager of Weekends Only Greenwood, presented a $10,000 check to Tina Cloer, President and CEO of CBI, and Robert Gray, Director of Corporate Relations.
“It’s a huge honor to help support such a wonderful Indianapolis organization that does so much for our community,” Weekends Only President Lane Hamm said. “Providing for the needs of children is a foundation for supporting our communities, so CBI was a natural partner during our Grand Opening celebration.”
Hamm has been involved with similar charity partnerships before, including the United Way, where he serves as a board member. “
“Weekends Only has supported under-served children in our community through the donation of beds and mattresses since we started the company in 1997,” Hamm said. “In addition, CBI is a recipient of funding from the United Way, so this was a perfect match for us,” Hamm added.
Customers learned about the charity partnership with CBI while shopping at Weekends Only during the Greenwood Grand Opening celebration in February and March. Employees, CBI brochures and signage located throughout the store provided information about the donation.
